Act III QW Analysis: Through the play, numerous characters hide their identity in order to get what they want. Looking at Bianca’s words and actions in Act III, she doesn’t seem as innocent and obedient as she did earlier in the play. Was her silence and meekness earlier in the play simply a disguise? In turn, Katherine, despite all of her objections, marries Petruchio and leaves with him after the wedding. Has her “shrewish” behavior started to be tamed? Or, was her “shrewish” behavior an act all along? Why would either girl need to put on an act? Or, if they are not acting, why have their characters changed? (5-7 sentences)
