Algebra Readiness Initiative • Since 2002 the Algebra Readiness Initiative (ARI) has provided mathematics intervention resources and services to students in grades 6, 7, 8, and 9 who are at risk of failing the Algebra 1 and end-of-course assessment. • The ARI consists of two major components: • 1. A diagnostic assessment designed to guide instruction decisions for students that may need intervention services • 2. Targeted intervention services for students
Algebra Readiness Diagnostic TestARDT • The ARDT is the diagnostic assessment used to identify students strengths and weaknesses. • The ARDT is comprised of two types of tests: • - A grade level diagnostic test (30 questions) • - Strand tests
Breaking Down the ARDT • Results of the ARDT diagnostic test are used to identify student strengths and weaknesses in five strands: • Number & Number Sense • Computatation & Estimation • Measurement & Geometry • Probability & Statistics • Patterns, Functions, and Algebra
