  6. Valentine’s Day History Saint Valentinus married soldiers against the law of the Roman Empire.When the Roman Empire found out they prosecuted and executed him. Before his execution he wrote a letter to his love that said his good-byes and how much he loved her, signing it “from your Valentine”.
