Getting a Good Grade in Chemistry • Forget about that you dislike chemistry. • No predefined attitude. • You will need to work and pay some attention in the class and outside the class. • Don’t be absent (This would save your time and my time!). • You must smart-read the book as much as you can. • Solve as many problems as the time lets you do so. • Homework, quizzes, old exams. • Remember that the course materials are accumulative and dependent on each other.

  3. Attendance Because attendance is important, it is going to be strictly enforced. • Attendance will be taken every lecture by passing a sign-up sheet in the first 10 minutes. • Please don’t let someone else sign your name because it is very dangerous. • Attendance will be also taken during recitations. • I will call names randomly from time to time. • No excuses are accepted in any circumstances, except for the university official excuses.
