Richard Trevithick Birthed in Tregajorran, during the late 1700s he was known for inventing the first Steam Locomotive (a powered rail vehicle used for pulling trains). Born: April 13, 1771 He was 6 foot 2 inches. Focused on sports in high school; wrestling First he concentrated on making a miniature locomotive and by 1796 produced one that worked. Died: April 22, 1833 Dartford, United Kingdom
Steve Jobs Birthed in San Francisco, CA, in 1955 he was known for inventing the very popular iphone. Steve was an American entrepreneur, marketer, and inventor, who was the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc. Richard Trevithick and the Locomotive In about 1802, he used a steam engine to power the first locomotive. Short journeys; unable to find a way of keeping up the steam for lengths of time. His locomotive became known as the “Puffing Devil.” James Watt argued that the use of steam at a high temperature could cause dangerous explosions. Parliament was influenced by James Watt and banned Trevithick’s experiments with steam locomotives.
