from “agust,heima,...CH3Br/CH3Br65960_66120-070809vhw.pxp” Assumption: 79Br+ pnt = 292 CH381Br+ Pnt = 315 81Br+ pnt = 295 CH379Br+ pnt = 311
According to spectrum: wave656 vs pnt => pnt sqrt(Mw) Mw 54 1 1 H+ 292 8.88819 79 79Br+ 295 9 81 81Br+ 311 9.69536 94 CH379Br+ 315 9.79796 96 CH381Br+ pnt Coefficient values ± one standard deviation a = 24.618 ± 2.9 b = 29.804 ± 0.346 i.e. pnt = 29.804 sqrt(Mw) + 24.618 Sqrt(Mw)
Coefficient values ± one standard deviation a = 24.618 ± 2.9 b = 29.804 ± 0.346 i.e. pnt = 29.804 sqrt(Mw) + 24.618 pnt(CH3+) = 29.804 sqrt(15) + 24.618= 140.05
CH381Br+ Pnt = 315 79Br+ pnt = 292 H+ pnt = 54 81Br+ pnt = 295 CH379Br+ pnt = 311 CH3+ pnt = 140 pnt
Conclusion: C+ CH381Br+ 79Br+ H+ CH+ 81Br+ CH379Br+ CH2+ CH3+ NB! Does not seem to be any C2+ impurity!! could it be because you fixed the leak and/or cleaned the equipment thoroughly inside???? pnt
Furthermore / Conclusion: • Large CH3+ signal • Weak Br+ and CH3Br+ signals and • I(Br+) < I(CH3Br+) ! • It looks as if there is some difference in 79Br and 81Br signals • (both for Br+ and CH3Br+) • It will be interesting to see how / whether these relative intensities change as we move to higher energy Rydberg states!!!!! • It will be interesting to see how / whether the relative 79Br and 81Br signals change as we scan across the “66037 cm-1 system” LOOKS VERY PROMISHING!!
