  1. Do Guys & Girls view Optical Illusions Differently? VMN

  2. Problem Do girls view optical illusions differently than guys?

  3. Introduction Since I was little, I’ve noticed that guys & girls view things differently & never seem to notice the exact same things at the same time. So this year I wanted to test to see if there was a difference between the way that guys & girls see things.

  4. Materials • 10 optical illusions • 4 7th grade testers (2 girls, 2 guys) • 6 choosers (to decide which picture is more obvious to see in the illusion) • Graph & pencil

  5. Hypothesis I predict that they will see the pictures in different ways & notice the different pictures.

  6. Procedure • Go around to each chooser & ask them to tell you what they see (this will help with grading everyone else because which ever object is seen the most often is the most often seen.) • Test one person at a time • Show them only one picture at a time and ask them what’s the first thing they see & write down what they say (for pictures with multiple objects

  7. Variables Independent-Different gender

  8. Results My hypothesis turned out to be right; girls tend to see the more obvious solution in the way that they see things.
