  1. 2 MINUTE PEARLSHealth History Module • Is AHLTA too slow? Are you tired of watching the hour glass every time you want to look for clinical information? • Do you wish that you could see all relevant patient information on one page (Problem List, Medications, Previous Results, Previous Encounters, etc…)? • Would you like to be able to quickly access more detail about particular clinical items without the usual delay? • By using the Health History Module and making a slight change to your clinic work flow, you can have a patient’s health information at your fingertips and navigate more quickly through a patient’s record. (If you would like to receive future versions of the AHLTA 2 Minute Pearls directly, please email Lakia Brockenberry at Lakia.Brockenberry@us.army.mil to be added to the distribution list) AHLTA Health History Module

  2. Health History Module (HHM) • Use Health History to generate a snap shot of a patient including • Patient’s Problem List • Medications/Allergies • Test results (Labs, X-rays) • Vital Signs • Previous Encounters and Clinical Notes • Information in your HHM is customizable • By opening the HHM at the beginning of an appointment all future data retrieval on that PC for that patient’s encounter will be faster. • Trade off is an initial delay while loading this module (ideally you should load the HHM while starting to talk to the patient so it can load while you are doing something else) • Requires one time configuration of HHM and data retrieval settings.
