The beginning • Miranda Leigh Lambert was born on November 10, 1983 in Longview, Texas and raised in Lindale, Texas a small town about 80 miles east of Dallas. • Her father was a country guitarist (Rick Lambert) and a detective agency owner. Her mother (Beverly June Lambert) worked alongside her father when he became the owner of the agency. • Miranda was raised in a house dedicated to country music.
First appearance • At age sixteen, Miranda began entering country talent contests, one of those including Johnny High Country Music Review in Arlington, Texas. • After that experience Miranda went back home to ask her father to teach her how to play the guitar, so she could begin to write her own songs. • She started a band called Texas Pride at the age of seventeen while she was in high school.
Fame begins • In 2001, she received a lot of support and financial help from her family to help promote her first recording, an independent self-titled CD. • Two years later in 2003, Miranda gained fame on the season of ‘Nashville Star’ where she finished third place and was later signed to Epic Records.

Revolution • Revolution is her most recent album, released on September 29, 2009. • Rolling Stone magazine has praised Revolution saying “Lambert remains country’s most refreshing act, and not just because she makes firearms seem like a matter-of-fact female accessory.”
Miranda • Miranda has had great success with her music career and her songs that she has written or co-written seem to have gone far in popularity. • She is well known in the country music era, and I believe she will continue to grow as a music artist and surprise us with more of her feisty ways. • I am excited to see what she will come up with next!
