I have helped hundreds of incoming freshmen transition into college life through mentoring, tutoring, campus tours, and forums.

It was then that I decided to work with soldiers in the military undergoing hearing losses and conducting research on hearing conservation.

Speech pathology seemed perfect for me not only because it was going to allow me to help others, but it also encompasses many of my other passions in life.

I have pursued as much practical experience as possible by participating in research conducted by Dr. Lisa Edmonds, working as a volunteer with a speech pathologist, volunteering at Shand’s Hospital Pediatric Unit, and local ESE classes.

Some of the other opportunities I participated in while attending the University of Florida include participating in Dance Marathon for two years, holding a babysitting job off campus, and working as a camp counselor for young children during the summer.
Not only have I learned to work efficiently in a team, but I have learned to be patient and respond positively to people in any situation that arises.
My required courses, GPA, and the elective courses I selected to enrich my education and prepare me for future endeavors not only provide tangible illustrations of my work ethic but also substantiate my passion for a degree in audiology.
