  1. Demolizer® II Biomedical Waste Disposal System

  2. The Demolizer® II System • The Demolizer® II patented technology provides a safer, simpler, more secure cost effective solution to managing biomedical waste disposal while protecting the environment.

  3. The technology uses a dry heat sterilization to convert typical sharps and red bag biomedical waste to sterile harmless solid waste that can be disposed of as common trash. The waste is sterileand sharps destroyed through melting so they are no longer useable. Automated quality control systems generate required documentation and make certain every process meets the critical treatment requirements.

  4. The Demolizer® II meets or exceeds all EPA(Environmental Protection Agency), OSHA(Occupational Safety & Health Administration), CDC(Center for Disease Control) U.S. State regulatory guidelines or requirements for biomedical waste treatment. BMTS is an FDA inspected company.

  5. Award Winning Technology BioMedical Technology Solutions, Inc. a Division of BioMedical Technology Solutions Holdings, Inc. Receives Frost & Sullivan's 2009 Product Innovation of the Year Award MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., April 6, 2009 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Companies: BioMedical Technology Solutions Holdings Inc (BMTL ), Frost & Sullivan Inc (FRSU ) Based on its recent analysis of the medical waste treatment market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes BioMedical Technology Solutions (BMTS), Inc. with the 2009 North American Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Innovation of the Year. The company has outpaced its competitors in product innovation, as evidenced by its introduction of the Demolizer® II. This novel system provides a simple and effective solution to biomedical waste management at the point of generation, thereby eliminating the possibility of sharps and red bag biomedical waste being disposed of directly into the environment.

  6. 10 new tech devices that can improve your practice PRACTICE MANAGER SAYS: "There really isn't a catch," says Debbie Harman, practice manager for Women's Health Care Associates Inc., a six-physician ob/gyn practice in Littleton, Colorado, which expects to save as much as $60,000 on waste disposal over 10 years with the device. "It also made us more conscious about what we were throwing away."

  7. Military Recognizes Demolizer II • -Depth Coverage of the Defense Procurement News • In-Depth Coverage of the Defense Procurement Industry Defense Procurement Industry • BMTS delivers Demolizer II to Air Force • April 2, 2009 by adminFiled under: Syndicated Industry News ENGLEWOOD, Colo., April 2 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has contracted BioMedical Technology Solutions Holdings Inc. for the company's biomedical waste-converter technology.

  8. With a push of a button, the Demolizer® II provides Safety, Simplicity, Security and Cost Savings in managing biomedical waste disposal while protecting the environment. • Helps protect staff and patients from potential airborne hazards and odors generated by bacteria growth during on-site storage of biomedical waste. • Simplifies documentation by automatically printing state required data. Provides backup storage for a minimum of 3 years using an analog phone line.

  9. Simplicity Make Your Waste Disposal Simpler Demolizer® II processes sharps and red bag waste with the push of a button. Simplify and reduce daily waste disposal procedures. Demolizer® II technology automatically documents and stores state and OSHA required records for a minimum of three years. “The Demolizer® System is easy and safe to use… it is cost effective…and has been used in our offices for over eight years.”

  10. 2 kinds of Collectors Red bag collector 5 qt. or 1 gallon Sharps Collector 5 qt. or 1 gallon &

  11. The Demolizer® II is simple to use! Deposit used syringes into the sharps collector or red bag waste into the red bag waste collector, the same way you do now; nothing changes. When it’s full, remove the collector from the lock box, just like you do now. Snap on the locking lid and carry the collector to the Demolizer® II.

  12. Three Easy Steps To Start Step 1: Place Sharps or Red Bag waste collector into the Demolizer® II.

  13. Step 2: Select “Sharps” or “Red Bag”.

  14. Step 3: Press “Start” and walk away. It’s that simple!

  15. The entire process takes a little more than two hours.

  16. When the Process is Complete Step 1: Two labels are automatically printed.

  17. Step 2: Place one label on the collector and throw it in your garbage.

  18. Step 3: Place the other label in your logbook, as required by law, and you’re done.

  19. Simplicity Remember: 1, 2, 3 to process 1,2,3 to complete!

  20. THE WOW FACTOR! A full load of sharps after a completed process. The locking lid has been removed to show the effects of dry heat and is prohibited.

  21. Security • What is cradle-to-grave liability? • The EPA’s Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976 states the generator is responsiblefor the proper disposal of their biomedical waste from inceptionto disposal, cradle-to-grave. Their liability does not end when waste is picked up by a hauler.

  22. Eliminates the cradle to grave liability associated with proper biomedical waste disposal. • Saves money by eliminating up to 100% of the costs associated with biomedical waste disposal. • Helps promote a Greener environment by eliminating traditional incineration methods and diesel burning trucks.

  23. Security Secure Your Confidence in a Proven Technology Rigorously tested for efficacy at Stanford University and Kansas State University. Meets or exceeds all EPA, OSHA, and CDC requirements. Licensed, approved or meets the requirements for treatment by 80 government agencies in 48 states. Fail-safe security removes the possibility of accessing unprocessed waste. “The system eliminates the “cradle to grave” liability, which, with all the recent controversy, is a big plus.” ~Head Nurse - Allergist

  24. Demolizer® Efficacy Efficacy tests conducted at independent labs and at the two prestigious universities known for biomedical engineering research, Stanford University Kansas State University A minimum of 6 log10 or 99.9999% kill criteria has been demonstrated.

  25. Security The Demolizer® II is a safer choice for our environment. • Unlike incineration, the dry heat technology used by the Demolizer® II does not emit harmful fumes into our atmosphere. • No more biomedical waste hauling truck at your facility leaving their carbon footprint.

  26. $1000s in Savings Every generator of biomedical waste pays for disposal. The Demolizer® II eliminates up to 100% of those costs without adding a patient or procedure. Disposal requirement costs are a reality so long as the waste is generated, they never go away and cost increase 12-20% per year or more. 12–15+ year life expediency

  27. Dry Heat Technology Requires no chemicals or liquids Demolizer® II process heats the contents above 350 degrees, and below 400 degrees – averages 390 degrees, for 90 minutes. (Arkansas and Texas - 120 minutes) Life expectancy of 12-15+ years How Does it Work?

  28. How Does it Work? Processed biomedical red bag and sharps waste is sterile and sharps are also rendered non-reusable. The processed waste is harmless and safe to throw away as common trash.

  29. Demolizer® II Phases Phase 1: Heats to 390° Phase 2: Processes the waste. Phase 3: Cools to 120 ° Phase 4: Prints two labels.
