  2. Service Learning • Is the incorporation of community service into education: a school program that integrates citizenship values into education by involving students in community service, often as a requirement for graduation.

Benefits of Service Learning • Enriches student learning of course material and "brings books to life and life to books". • Engages students in active learning that demonstrates the relevance and importance of academic work for their life experience and career choices. • Increases awareness of current societal issues as they relate to academic areas of interest. • Broadens perspectives of diversity issues and enhances critical thinking skills. • Improves interpersonal skills that are increasingly viewed as important skills in achieving success in professional and personal spheres. • Develops civic responsibility through active community involvement.

  4. Meet The Blazers! Meet The Blazers was a fun experience with all the kids that love football as much as I do. The kids got to come out on to the field and run around, also do the drills we actually do in practice. We had a station for every position on the field. The kids also at the end of the day got to go in our locker room and run out on to the field in the smoke with the band playing like we do on Saturdays! They loved it and I loved every minute of it also.

  6. Blazer Build! • The Blazers worked with Habitat For Humanity to help an unprivileged family in Valdosta . We actually built a house from ground up. I worked on the roof all day laying shingles down

  8. My Experience I had • I had a wonderful experience both helping the unprivileged family and playing with those kids. It made me realize how lucky I am to play the game I love and have the wonderful people around that I do. It all was super fun helping people and being with my teammates all day.
