  1. Daniel’s 70 Sevens Almost 600 years before Jesus Christ’s First Coming, the Old Testament prophet Daniel, received a prophecy from God indicating the exact timing of Christ’s arrival. This same prophecy also described specific details about the last seven years of this present age which will lead to Christ’s Second Coming. Let’s read the prophecy in Daniel 9:24-27.

Daniel’s 70 Sevens • The prophecy will be fulfilled after 490 years (70 x 7 = 490). • The Hebrew word shabuwa means seven, sevened or a week. • Since 69 ‘sevens’ have been fulfilled we know shabuwa represents ‘seven’ years. Seventy 'sevens' [shabuwa] are decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the most holy.Daniel 9:24 70 x 7 = 490 years • This prophecy promises the renewal of all things and the coming Kingdom of God on earth.

Daniel’s 70 Sevens Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One [mashiyach] , the ruler [nagiyd], comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.
