  3. PNs and PAs MUST follow a ___________ verb. LINKING You can decide whether to use PN and PA or DO and IO by following these steps. Step #1 Remove the prepositional phrases Step #2 Find the verb Step #3 Decide whether the verb is action or linking. • If it is action, choose DO/IO If it is linking, choose PN/PA
