    10. - 10 - PROCEDURES USED INCLUDED: Ask each state director to nominate the eight persons needed Develop a high quality task verification questionnaire Pilot-test and revise the instrument Mail instrument, cover letter, and postage-paid return envelope Send one mail and one fax follow-up to all nonrespondents

    11. - 11 - TASK VERIFICATION PROCESS INVOLVED: Secondary vocational teachers Postsecondary technical instructors Academic teachers working in occupational settings Business/Industry trainers Vocational teacher educators State staff supervisor/ consultants Local administrators Local teacher supervisors

    12. - 12 - VERIFICATION RESULTS Instruments sent to 288 nominees (8 persons x 36 states) Usable returns received from 217 respondents or 75.3% Of 162 tasks from DACUM chart, 156 received 2.5 or higher ranking on task importance All but 23 tasks from DACUM chart received a 2.5 or higher ranking on task learning difficulty Two new tasks were added from the write-ins received.
