  1. Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow Virginia’s statewide program for recruiting high school students into the teaching profession.

  2. What is Teacher Cadet? • A college class for high school seniors interested in becoming teachers. • Students are dual enrolled at Shenandoah University and receive 4 college credits. • Students also receive a .5 GPA boost.

  3. Hands on Learning First Semester • Project based instruction • 8 Observations Second Semester • 40 hour Field Experience (February to May) • Building a portfolio

  4. Student Requirements • High School Senior • Have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA • Submit three satisfactory teacher recommendations • Submit a brief essay and application.
