Wessex HIEC Telehealth/care Workshop “EPILEPSY, LEARNING DISABILITY AND TELEHEALTHCARE” Come to a free workshop on Epilepsy and Learning Disabilities : how are Telecare and Telehealth being used to support independent living? Expert speakers with direct experience of these areas will share their knowledge in an interactive and participatory workshop. Areas for discussion will include how telecare and telehealth are being used in the community, sheltered housing and in residential care to support people with learning disabilities and epilepsy. The morning will focus on epilepsy and the afternoon on learning disabilities. Suppliers will be displaying equipment. Speakers will include Chris Martin, The Epilepsy Society and the Epilepsy support team, UHS. Who should attend: Clinicians, commissioners, managers and staff in epilepsy and LD, health, social care and housing services staff Where: Wide Lane, (Eastleigh), University of Southampton Sports Ground. When: Thursday 31st January 2013 Registration at 09.30.
