P. 7-Reviewing Factors to Consider When Choosing a High School • What 3 factors are most important to you in choosing a high school? Why? • (5 minutes)
Gallery Walk: Evaluating High Schools in Boston • Step 1: Identify the three most important factors to you in choosing a high school and put them at the top of your chart. • Step 2: Use the posters around the room to fill out your chart for ALL high schools. • Only 2 people can be at any poster at a time. • You will be on each SIDE of the room for 5 minutes, after which I will say “switch”. At that point, you will move clockwise to the next wall in the room and stay there for 5 minutes. • You must be calm, orderly, and safe. If there is any playing around, we will stop the activity.(20 minutes)
Reflection • Review your list • Highlight the 7 schools that appeal to you most based on what you learned today. • (3 minutes)

Brainstorm • Choose the high school you are MOST interested in attending. • Complete the brainstorm for this high school, using the evidence you gathered from the gallery walk. • Write in the 3 factors • Include evidence and analysis to back up why this school is strongest on each factor • (15 minutes)
