Welcome to Peekskill Middle School Mel Bolden Music Technology
Course Overview/Description • Students will discover the uses of multimedia technology in the field of music. • Piano Lessons • Music Production (Creating music/audio files with the use of computers and how it relates to the world outside of the classroom) • Video Production (7th/8th Grades)
Instructional Technology • There is a wide range of technology available to the students from the varied software to the actual hardware in the building.
Grading • Projects: 30% • Class Assignments: 30% • Effort, Participation & Behavior: 25% • Tests/Quizzes: 10% • Homework: 5%
Expectations All students are expected to: • Be on-time to class; • Communicate and discuss any issues/concerns; • Complete all classwork/assignments; • Respect and follow the class rules; • Display respect for themselves and each other; • Remained focused and participate; and • Do the best they can everyday in a positive fashion.
Availability/Extra Help • I am available Mon-Thurs after school in my classroom. • In addition, in the afternoon, all children have an opportunity to speak with individual teachers and/or work on assignments during “call back.”
