  2. The Poinsettia plant Background The poinsettia plant is originated from southern Mexico . It is believed that the Aztecs used it for the red dye. The poinsettia plant is named after Joel Roberts Poinsett, the U.S ambassador for Mexico who had brought it with him from Mexico. The Poinsettia plant grows in warm condition.

  4. The Poinsettia plant Fable The Poinsettia plant story goes something like this. There was a poor girl and boy who loved Christmas but were so poor they never got any gifts for Christmas. Since there church had done so much for them they decided they wanted to give a gift to the manger scene. So on there way to church the girl picked up some weeds to give to the manger scene. All the children laughed at there gift, but when the girl put it in the manger scene it bloomed to a wonderful red plant. That is why they call it the FelizNavidad plant.
