  3. WHY LUMOS???? College is spending more than 10 lakhs per month for electrical energy . There by the annual price for the energy is more than 1 crore. It becomes essential for us to think about alternate energy sources, Which is more eco friendly

  4. OUR PLAN Installation of solar panels Replacement of existing lamps with energy efficient LED lamps To create more awareness among students and faculty members in campus To extend more research on energy efficient systems

  5. The main project aiming for Installation of solar panels and hybrid inverters to meet at least 40% of power requirements in the campus Power generation from biogas plant from canteen and hostel waste Reopening of planetarium and making an astronomy club

  6. ASTRONOMY CLUB The club will also create short films for the proper awareness of energy conservation and efficient utilization That will be screened in nearby schools

  9. (1) BEAUTIFICATION OF GOLDEN WALKWAY ILLUMINATE THE GOLDEN WALKWAY USING SOLAR POWERED LED LAMPS ON EITHER SIDE OF WALKWAY

  10. (2) MODIFICATION OF FOUNTAIN SOLAR POWERED BEAUTIFICATION (DECORATIVE LIGHTS) ON MEADOWS INFRONT OF LOBBY

Who will lead the project in CET ? • The project will be lead by volunteers of CET . • ( www.theiet.org) • What we did in the 3 past years • We already installed 20 LED street light in the campus • Did the renovation of planetarium during CETEX exhibition on 2010. • Actively participating in college developmental activities through workshops, and other student & faculty developmental programmes in the campus.
