Loyalists Impact • English-speaking people introduced British culture to the country • New colonies were formed where loyalists could enjoy familiar laws & customs (Upper Canada & New Brunswick) • They reaffirmed the colony’s British connection • Economic development (farmers, merchants, trades-people) • New towns emerged & new areas developed (Kingston, Fredericton)
