What is Safe Routes to School?¿Qué es Rutas Seguras Hacia a la Escuela? • Safe Routes to School is a national movement to/Safe Routes to School (Rutas Seguras hacia la Escuela) es un movimiento a nivel nacional cuyo objetivo es: • Make it safe, convenient and fun for children to bicycle and walk to school/Hacer el ir a la escuela, ya sea a pie o en bicicleta, una actividad segura, conveniente y divertida. • Promote regular physical activity needed for good health/También para promover la actividad física, tan necesaria para la buena salud. Safe Routes to School initiatives help: Las iniciativas de Safe Routes to School (Rutas Seguras hacia la Escuela) también ayudarán a: • Ease traffic jams/ Reducir los embotellamientos de tráfico. • Reduce air pollution/ Reducir la contaminación. • Unite neighborhoods/ Crear la unión de los vecindarios. • Foster students’ readiness to learn in school./ Fomentar, en los estudiantes, la iniciativa para aprender.
