HISTORY AND TODAY Standardized Testing has changed a magnificent amount since it first began.
CON PRO EMPHASIS proven to be one of the most successful tools for measuring success and failure Determines whether students stay back a grade
TESTING AND THE STUDENT CON PRO Does not factor in the different styles of learning for individuals Shows students areas where they need to improve
TESTING AND THE SCHOOL CON PRO Does not always reflect what is being taught in the school system Used for comparing schools and school districts
MR. SKARI'S OPINION Standardized testing is unfair because every kid is different and the same test cannot be used for every kid even though it is good for comparing.
CONCLUSION CON PRO Do not always reflect what is taught in the school system Good teaching aid and good for keeping track of students.
OUR FINAL QUESTION SHOULD ALL STUDENTS BE REQUIRED TO TAKE STANDARDIZED TESTS?
