Occupation • Thomas Malthus was a professor at the East India Company’s university at Haileybury, Hertfordshire, and a writer of many pamphlets.
Contributions to Study of the Environment • Malthus studied population and economy, and in his published works argued that the expansion of populations was messing with the resources of the earth and how it functioned, as the population spread out its farmland to achieve maximum possible food growth for humans.
