Jesus is divine –v.1 - the father rejoices in him –v.11; Mk.9:7; Ps.2:7 - the demons tremble – 5:6,7 - the centurion believes – 15:39 c. Jesus is fully human - identifying with sinners – v.9; Is.53:5,6 - facing temptation –v. 13; Heb.4:15,16 - Equipped for his mission – v.10-13; Is.42:1

  3. c. It is about Salvation It is the most wonderful news – through Jesus we can receive:- • Forgiveness – v.4; Acts2:38 • New life – v.8 2 Gospel demands – repentance & faith 2 Gospel promises – forgiveness & eternal life

  4. 2. Jesus & You • Do you understand who Jesus is? His identity • Do you grasp why he came? His mission • Have you responded to the Gospel demands? Repentance & faith • How eagerly do you want to share this Good News of Jesus?
