Managing an Airport Alternative Fuels ProgramDFW International Airport History • 2000 - First CNG buses purchased – 8 buses • 2000 - CNG “public” fuel station opened on airport property • 2001 - Initiated 10 year contract with Clean Energy • 2005 - Fuel station modified to handle the increased demand • 2007 - Fuel station nearing “ full capacity”

Managing an Airport Alternative Fuels ProgramDFW International Airport Daily Fueling Operations • No assigned fueling schedules Peak fuel periods: 9:00 a. m. – 1:00 p.m. 10:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. • Larger vehicles require fueling twice per day • Airport buses and vans require a two phase fueling process 1. Fuel at CNG station 2. Complete maintenance inspections, fluid checks, minor PM at the maintenance facility • Fueling Time / per vehicle Buses – 20 minutes Smaller vehicles – 8 – 10 minutes

Tubing leaks 2. O Ring leaks / replacements 3. Driver error 4. Near full capacity / lower fuel pressure / slower refueling 5. Lost fuel cards
