How is upper chromosphere accelerated? Shock (Suematsu et al. 1982) Lorentz force (Martínez-Sykora et al. 2011) Corona Chromosphere Squeezed by the magnetic tension Magnetic reconnection, Alfvén wave, slow-mode wave, fast-mode wave, p-mode leakage, etc. Magnetic reconnection(De Pontieu et al. 2007)

Research plan • Purpose : First direct observational evidence of acceleration of jet by shock • Data : Time series of spectra obtained by IRIS in Sit-and-stare mode • Spectra of chromospheric lines with high spatial resolution obtained in space (High quality for long time) • Method : • Comparison of slit-time diagrams in intensity, velocity, temperature, and so on (Pereira et al. 2013) Jet Shock Slit Time
Pereira et al. 2013, ApJ, 778, 143 • They obtained relation between feature of MgIIh&k and physical parameters from NLTE radiative transfer calculation conbined with MHD simulation

Future work • The shoewd data does not have clear evidence of jet in slit jaw images • Please look for • Statistical analysis • Strength of shock vs. velocity of jets=> clear evidence of acceleration of upper chromosphere by shock
to be continued Energy flux Shock strength v.s. length of jet Ratio of jet accelerated by shock ,,,,
