The following is a simple step-by-step procedure on how to make the graphs in MS Word manually without inserting the chart.
HOW TO MAKE THE HISTOGRAM Histogram
1. Type the heading on the desired area of the MS Word page you are working on.
2. On the menu bar, click Table, then click Insert, then click Table.
3. Fill in the desired number of columns and rows. In our case, 9 columns and 16 rows would do. You then click ‘Ok’.
4. Fill in the x-axis with the class marks and the y-axis with the frequency using the table showed above
5. Type the label of the x-axis.The y-axis can be labeled with the use of the text box.
6. Based on the given table, color the cells appropriately by first, highlighting the column.
7. Second, right click the area and then click borders and shading
8. Click the shading tab and choose the color you want and then click ‘ok’.
Repeat steps #6-#8 in order to make the other bars of the histogram.
To draw the line of the frequency polygon, click the line icon on the tool bar then draw/plot on the graph based on the given table above.
Continue repeating the steps of clicking the line icon on the tool bar and drawing/plotting on the graph until you’ve finished the polygon
The colors of the lines can be changed by clicking the line itself, then click the line color icon on the tool bar and click the desired color.
The thickness of the lines can be changed by clicking the line to be edited and then click line style at the tool bar and choose the desired line thickness
