Type a name in the Other calendars text box to add another user’s calendar to the display and select a name from the list. • The selected user’s calendar displays in the Other calendars display. • Expand calendar display settings for this calendar by clicking to select options such as Display only this Calendar, Hide this calendar from the list, Calendar settings and Notifications. • You can also click Add and select Add a public calendar to select from a list of available public calendars. • Click to expand calendar display options or Create to create a new calendar. • Select Display only this Calendar to display only your calendar. • Select Calendar settings to customize your calendar (Display Name, Location and time zone settings). • Select Create event on this calendar to add a calendar event. • Select Share this calendar to share your calendar with others. • Select Notifications to choose how you would like to be notified about events and meeting invitations. Create Event (used to schedule a meeting with one or more guests and available resources). a • Click Create Event. • Enter event details in the What, When, Repeats, Where and Description fields (you may enter a link/URL in the Description field). • If the event is a meeting, add guests by typing their name in the Guests text box (a list of email addresses from your Personal Contacts list automatically appears, select the desired email address), -OR- • If the guest’s email address is not displayed in your Personal Contact list, click the Choose from contacts link to display all available contacts for your domain or company. • Select the contact list from the drop-down menu then select one or more names from the list and click Done (you can also click the Save as Group… button to create a Group). • Click the Check guest and resource availability link to check the availability of guests and display their schedule (adjust meeting date and time as needed for guests with schedule conflicts). • Select room and resource options from the list, click the Add button and click OK. • Select meeting Options or accept the default settings and click the Save button. • Click the Send button to send your meeting invitation to selected guests. h i Quick Add (used to add an item, reminder or task to your calendar). • Click Quick Add. • Type a description in the Quick Add text box. • Click + (Add Event) to create a new calendar event. • The newly added event appears in your calendar (click to edit or modify event details). • Click the edit event details>> link and modify event details as needed. a b c e Cheat Sheet – Google Calendar Homepage (GCal Create Event & Quick Add) Create Event 1 b f Rebecca c d e f g Quick Add 2 d GCal Cheat Sheet Page 2
