What’s ATAXIA? • DIAGNOSIS..……... lack of muscle coordination and balance; usually progressive, primarily a nerve disorder • SYMPTOMS………… marked variation in: degree of involvement, age of patients, disease progression rate, genetic type and transmission, spectrum of causes • Therefore…………… clumsy and unstable in walking, speaking, swallowing, seeing, etc.
