  1. PCDL @ LALPost-Collision Diagnostic Lattice(task coordination: V. Ziemann, Uppsala) 1) Conceptual design of a post-collision extraction lines 2) Studies on the feasibility ofpost-collision diagnostics GOALS: • tracking simulations with emphasis on location of possible post-IP diagnostics • evaluation of physics potential of post-IPdiagnostics • design of extraction line for multi-TeV collider Deliverable: Report on possible performance of post-collision diagnostics ACHIEVEMENTS: • Benchmarking of BDSIM versus DIMAD and improvement of BDSIM ( 2005) •Study of beam losses in 2 mrad and 20 mrad ILC extraction lines (2006) •Study of backscattered photon fluxes induced by beam losses in extraction line and assess impact in terms of backgrounds in vertex detector ( 2007) •Design and optimisation of new “minimal” 2 mrad ILC extraction line ( 2008) • Study and optimisation of ILC parameters for e-e- option ( finalize in 2008 ?) •Study of impact of parasitic beam crossings in head-on ILC scheme ( 2008) (•Compton based IP luminometry and polarimetry  may start in 2008 ? )

  2. BBSIM @ LALBeam-Beam Simulation Code Development(collaboration: D. Schulte, CERN, Klaus Mönig, DESY) 1) Inclusion of spin in the simulation code GUINEA-PIG 2) and benchmarking of physicsprocesses GOALS: • benchmarking of physics processes in GUINEA-PIG againstknown and trusted physics generators • implementation of spintransport into GUINEA-PIG Deliverable: New version of GUINEA-PIG ACHIEVEMENTS: •Study of incoherent pairs in Guinea-Pig simulation and assessment of uncertainty in comparison with CAIN simulation and BDK generator( 2005) •Study of impact of beam-beam effects on precision luminosity measurements using Bhabha scattering at ILC (2006-2007) •Guinea-Pig C++ version : management, distribution & documentation via CMT, SVN and TRAC, performance & technical improvements ( 2005-2009) •Implementation of spin depolarisation : BMT precession, ST spin flip ( 2008) • Extention of hadronic minijet phase-space ( 2009-2010)
