What is FACT? • The Food Access Coalition Team (FACT) is subcommittee of the Los Angeles Collaborative for Healthy Active Children. • Through our multi-agency partnerships, we improve food security and access in Los Angeles by providing resources to low income families and intermediary organizations.

Food Insecurity Definition Food insecurity implies a limited ability to secure adequate food. Specifically, food insecurity is having “limited or uncertain availability of nutritionally adequate and safe foods or limited or uncertain ability to acquire acceptable foods in socially acceptable ways.” (Anderson, 1990, p. 1598)
