The Schwa Was Here What lessons does Mr. Crawley learn the story? Explain how that lesson learned improved that character’s life.
I believe he learned that he should not be mean. He kept doing things to people that made them end up not being his friend. In the end, he ended up a miserable old man.
In the novel, the Schwa was Here, Mr. Crawley learns that he does not want to be alone and that people can be trusted. In the story, Mr. Crawley meets Antsy through a dare gone wrong. He informed Antsy that he preferred to live alone. Over time through “community service”, he begins to see Antsy as a friend. He begins to pay Antsy to kidnap him once a month to try new adventures. Antsy helped Mr. Crawley see that it is okay to trust others.
