Regulatory framework • Clear and transparent framework • Light handed approach towards regulation • Minimum regulatory requirements designed to prevent and deter anti-competitive behaviour
Reliance on market forces & commercial negotiations • Operation of market forces more effective means of promoting consumer welfare and delivering consumer benefits • Allow market forces to operate unfettered by unnecessary regulatory intervention • Emphasis on commercially negotiated outcomes
Industry consultation & participation • Consultative approach to telecoms policy making • Encourage interest in policy issues and participation from industry • Opportunity to provide constructive inputs to assist in policy deliberations
