  1. Food and Exercise analysis Website and/or App for entering food and exercise: -> My Fitness Pal http://www.myfitnesspal.com/

  2. Analysis of diet and exercise • Obj 1: students will be able to utilize the “Myfitnesspal” website/app to enter their food and exercise into the program and analyze their diet • Obj 2: Students will describe changes they want to make in their diet and why it’s important to make those changes.

  3. 1st: Create/enter your profile Please use your school email and password when creating your account.

  4. 2nd My Fitness PalTutorial Video’s 1st Using the iPad open the 2nd Watch the following 3 video’s -> Introduction to MyFitnessPal -> Diary Basics ->Barcode Scanning

  5. 3rd : Click on Food Make sure you are using the correct date for your diet and exercise Click the appropriate box for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks and type in or scan in the item that you ate. Make sure you put in the correct serving size for each item you ate. Once this is done, go to the next slide

  6. 4th : Click on Exercise Under Cardiovascular, type in the physical activity you did. Enter how long you performed the activity DO NOT USE THE STRENGTH CATEGORY, it does not calculate calories burned.

  7. 5th: Using the Ipad, Click on the pie chart symbol Click on the nutrient details symbol Then click on “Daily”. Goal= Goal for that time frame entered Left = IN BLACK: what you still need/could consume. = IN RED: where you went over (had too much) PRINT all the dates you logged

ASSIGNMENT ANALYZE EVERY NUTRIENT ON THIS PAGE 1st: Circle the nutrients you are either high or low in 2nd: Write what changes you need to make in your diet (foods you want to add or subtract) andwhy it’s important to make the change. RUBRIC 3 PTS: COMING TO CLASS WITH DIET LOG 2 PTS: PRINT OUT OF LOG: -> To print the page, take a screen shot, then go to photos and open the pic. Print the page, then delete the photo. 5 PTS: WROTE DOWN WHAT FOODS WERE TO BE ADDED OR SUBTRACTED 5 PTS: WHY IT’S IMPORTANT TO MAKE THE CHANGE
