  13. GridPP Dissemination Awards Scheme GridPP is launching a small grant scheme to encourage GridPP members to run dissemination activities. These should highlight GridPP's work. Example projects might include: • Giving talks • Funding summer students • Working with local press • Creating posters or web sites • Developing demonstrations The awards will cover costs of up to £2,000. GridPP CB Meeting 7 Jul 2005

  14. GridPP Dissemination Awards Scheme Applications should be on one side of A4, and include: • The name, institution and contact details of the principal applicant. This can be any member of the GridPP collaboration. • Names, institutions and addresses for co-applicants, who do not need to be GridPP members. We encourage joint applications with science centres, schools, industry, the press etc. • Title of the activity. • Summary of the proposed activity. Questions to consider include: what are your aims, what will you do, who is your audience, how many people do you expect to reach? • Overall budget and breakdown (salaries, travel, printing, etc.), including VAT. • How the activity will benefit GridPP as a whole. Successful applicants will need to supply a report to the PMB on completion of the project. GridPP CB Meeting 7 Jul 2005

  15. GridPP Dissemination Awards Scheme Applicants are invited to submit for one of two rounds: • Those wishing to run an activity that takes place soon, for example involving summer students, should submit their application by Monday 18th July. These will then be assessed by the GridPP PMB and results known a week later. • For longer term activities, applicants should submit by 1 September. Results will be announced at GridPP 14.
