Effects of the Crusades • Women have to take care of things while men are gone • More trade because Europeans want the goods brought back from the Middle East • Church loses power • Nobles lose power • Kings gain power • Cities grow • Disease spread • Feudalism declines – serfs run away to city

  3. Turning Points Event(s) that change the way people live When discussion a turning point, you have to describe what changed. This means describing what happened BEFORE the change, what the EVENT that caused the change was, and how things were different AFTER the event.
