Advertising • The average American spends five hours and nine minutes watching live television • In a recent study it showed that advertising successfully: • leads 53% of viewers to purchasing • leaves 80% of viewers aware of the product
Internet Not a Strong Threat to Steal TV Time • By 2012 time spent watching televisions will rise faster than leisure time spent on the internet. • TV time will rise by 2 hours and 9 min • Internet time will rise by a half hour • "People are spending time watching YouTube videos, but the amount of time they're spending is ... almost negligible relative to the time they're spending watching professionally generated television."
