  4. The football season starts in early autumn and is followed by basketball, an indoor winter sport, and then baseball, played in spring and summer. Sport seasons

  5. Baseball and football games are family affairs, and cheerleaders command the remarkably non-violent crowd to root in chorus for their teams. American fans

  6. Football is the most popular game in the autumn. There are professional football teams in all the main cities of the United States. It started at Harvard University in the 1870's American football
