  1. Civil war Project Battle of Fort Sumter By Geno Lynch

  2. Why is this battle even worth while? It is said to be the first real battle of the civil war even though it wasn’t really a battle it was just a complete slaughter. Also the North now knew where the south stood on if they wanted a war or not. IT also fueled fire for the north like remember the Alamo.

  3. Connections Now if you know what the revolutionary war is you’ll know that there was also something like Fort Sumter. Called the shot heard round the world which was like fort Sumter in many ways like one is it was the sign of a new war starting unlike fort Sumter this was a very quick battle but it was just as devastating and the start of a war

  4. Construction of Fort Sumter Began in 1829 at the entrance to the harbor of Charleston, S.C. It took about 8 years to build this massive fort which was 180 feet long and 50 feet tall

  5. The battle of fort Sumter The battle was short but it was a slaughter and eventually the North had to surrender they were just getting crushed by the constant pounding of artillery fire. There was no deaths during the battle only a death at the surrendering ceremony on the 100 shot salute an accident http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39OnfpVkP_0

  6. President Lincoln If Lincoln didn’t supply the fort with food and supplies the confederates would take over and if they left they would take it too it was a lose lose situation. They were in big trouble now Lincoln had to intervene and it showed the south and north couldn’t get along.
