What hasn’t changed? Continued support for: • dyslexia • dyscalculia • sensory impairment • autism spectrum conditions • ADHD • mental health & wellbeing • medical conditions Continue to deliver: individualised, learner centred support for learners with physical needs, providing mobility assistance for accessing all areas of the College, full assistance in the bathroom and with eating and drinking, coordination of home to College transportation…..
What has changed? • Progress Coaches offering a vast range of support interventions to support student success and progression inc pastoral and employability. • Learning workshop offers support for students with dyslexic/dyscalculia. Some in-class support, as appropriate. • English and maths support will be facilitated by the Skills for Life team including initial screening and diagnostic assessment. • 14 LS Advisors replace key workers – curriculum links + safeguarding • Central Careers Coach team • LAC / YPYC Officers • Invoicing curriculum!

Outcomes for learners(CiF) • All learners achieve and make progress relative to their starting points and learning goals • All learners develop personal, social and employability skills • All learners progress to courses leading to higher-level qualifications and into jobs that meet local and national needs.
What is a Progress Coach? • 13.5 full time equivalents Progress Coaches. • The role of the Personal Tutor is to:- “To facilitate the learner journey by providing effective, quality support to enable learners’ progress towards their learning goals and develop their personal, social and transferable skills, within a safe and supportive environment” NOS (LSIS) 2013 • The Progress Coach has been recruited to support the Personal Tutor by providing a referral service for any barriers to learning and progression that students may be challenged by during their learning journey. • Progress Coaches will plan events, workshops and group support in partnership with the curriculum team and students.
