Key Gains from Real-Time • Clinical Handover: Used in 4 ways • Replaced handover sheets/notes used by nursing staff on wards • Utilised at Medical & Surgical Handovers to identify and assist new patient allocation • Ensures no patients are missed • Allows EDDs to be challenged & confirmed whilst assisting to reduce the Length of Stay
Benefits of Real-Time Clinical Handover • Ensures that the Right Patients are reviewed by the Right Teams at the Right Time • Reduces delays in patient treatment • Reduces Nursing administration time • Able to up-date information in real time & make this available to all Multi-disciplinary Teams involved in Patient Care • Driving force in improving Data Quality
Next for NMUH • Continuing to work with clinicians to integrate RealTime into their workflow • Go Live of Release 3 (early July) bringing new functionality • Go Live with live link to Social Services assisting in the discharge process.
