Your employee has asked to leave early and you granted their wish earlier in the day. You now need the employee to stay, what power tactic will you use? e.g.) reason, assertiveness

  6. Scenario 2 • Manager Name: Joe Nieuwendyk Employee Name: Mark Messier • You are a low ranking member of company that sells hockey sticks. You are the only one that knows how to make the new Titan Extreme hockey stick. Use your power to get what you want concerning a salary increase. E.g.) scarcity, importance

  7. Scenario 3 • CEO Name: Susie Smirkens • Employee Name: Danny Scared • You are the CEO of an accounting firm that employs fifty staff members. Your manager has just hired a new accountant. Show one of the Abuses of Power. E.g.) sexual, religious

  8. Scenario 4 • President Name: Mimick Mee • Judge Name: Mim Bow • You are the president of the Olympic committee and are having problems concerning the judging in the belly flop competition. The judging seems to be unfair. Use coercive power to get the judging back in line.

  9. Scenario 5 • Employee Names: Janise and Dave • Manager Name: Margaret • The two of you have a great idea concerning a new product line for woman’s clothing. As a coalition; convince the manager of your idea.
