  5. ERCOT received DC-Tie flows 32 times through the South DC-Ties from October 2006 to August 2007. Each DC-Tie flow corresponds with a declaration of an Emergency Condition. South DC Tie Requests 5

Eagle Pass DC-Tie Emergency Assistance Schedules 25 Times due to Transmission Emergency Conditions • October 06 (6 days) – Planned outage on Uvalde to Asphalt Mines and Forced outage on Asherton to North Laredo • November 06 (5 days) – Planned outage on Uvalde to Asphalt Mines • December 06 (2 days) – Planned outage on Uvalde to Asphalt Mines • January 07 (5 days) – Del Rio Area experienced a blackout during the planned outage on Brackettville to Hamilton and a consequent forced outage due to an unexpected cold front. • February 07 (7 days) Planned outage on Brackettville – Asphalt Mines 2 Times due to EECP on June 18th, 2007 & August 1st, 2007
