Functional Elevation(for promotion during Ist July to Ist Jan) • L D Assistant:Pay Band 2:Rs.5400 -25200 • Pay:7260 Grade Pay:2600 • Basic Pay: (Pay +GP) 7260+2600= 9860 • Date of Promotion as UD Assistant:14.12.2010 • On the date of Promotion @3% increment on Basic Pay=9860 X3% =300*(to be rounded off to the next multiple of 10) • Pay in the Post of UD:7260+300*= 7560 • The basic pay as on 14.12.2010 after adding GP:7560+3600=11160(PB3: 7100-37600) • Next date of Increment:01.7.2011
For Promotion during 2nd Jan to 30th June • LD Assistant got promotion on 12.1.2011 • Pay:7260 • Option for fixation of pay is given on day of Promotion i.e. 12.1.2011 • Fixation of Pay= 7260+300(increment @3%)=7560 • GP of Promotion post:3600 • Basic Pay=7560+3600=11160 • His next date of increment:01.7.2012
Hazards of Promotion incremant • As per rule 11 of the WBS(ROPA) Rules,2009, he may opt for final fixation of his pay on the date of increment
Final fixation on date of increment • Promotion as on:12.1.2011 without increment • Basic pay as on 12.01.2011:7260+3600(Higher Grade Pay)= 10860 • On 01.07.2011, he will get 02 increments • Ist increment @3% on basic pay:9860( Pay:7260+ GP:2600)= 300* • Second increment @3% on basic pay(7260+300)=7560 +Grade Pay 2600=10160=310* • Basic Pay on 01.7.2011 =7260+300+310+GP 3600=11470
Non-Functional ElevationUnder Career Advancement Scheme(CAS) during Ist July to Ist Jan • LD Assistant in pay band 2=5400-25200 • Pay 7260 Grade Pay:2600 Basic Pay :9860 • Completed 8 years as LD on 25.11.2010 • Increment on 25.11.2010 @3% on basic pay:9860 X @3% =300* • Pay 7260 +300 =7560 • Basic Pay =7560+2900( New Grade Pay)=10460 • Next date of increment:01.7.2011
CAS during 2nd Jan to 30 th June • LD Assistant completed 8 years service on 12.2.2011 • Basic Pay:7260 Grade Pay :2600 • He may opt for higher scale on 12.2.2011 • On 12.2.2011 @3% annual increment=300* • Pay 7260+300=7560 Grade Pay =2900 • Basic Pay = 7560+2900=10460 • Next date of increment on 01.7.2012
Option for higher pay on next increment • No monetary benefit during 12.2.2011 -30.6.2011 • On Ist July 2011, he will get 2 increments • Ist increment @3% on Basic Pay(7260+2600)x@3% = 300* • 2nd increment @3% on Pay 7560 +New Grade Pay 2900 = 10460X@3% = 320 • Hence Pay Band Pay = 7560+320=7880 • Basic pay as on 01.07.2011=7880+2900=10780
