  1. In this case study (4), there was a 15- year old, tenth grader girl, who was named Ruth Cales and was accused of doing drugs while skipping class and hiding behind cars in the parking lot. Cales was then searched by her assistant principle to see if she was carrying drugs. Cales v. Howell Public Schools People’s cars get searched when they arrested sometimes, depending on the reason for their arrest. This case relates to the fourth amendment since the both involve the searching of people. The fourth amendment states that no one can be searched with unreasonable suspicion People are searched at the airport due to 9/11, and this is an example of the 4th amendment today.
