  3. Central Questions to Consider • What are the consequences for this student? • How will you address the media? • Should the school press charges? • Should the student body and faculty be addressed?

  4. Strategic Decisions… made by Jamie • Hold the child accountable for their actions • Consistency • Provide guidance toward finding a positive outlet for the child

  5. Strategic Decisions… made by Dan • Teachable moment, but still realize that this was wrong • Try to talk to the student in the terms of a community

  6. Strategic Decisions… made by Deon • Teachable moment • Empower the student to find a better outlet • Clean up the vandalism • Don’t leave it up for long • Get it down as quick as time
