  2. Chhattisgarh Building & Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Act & Rules The Act was promulgated in the year 1996 by the GoI. Rules were framed under Building & Other Construction worker’s Welfare Act in the year 2008 by the State. Chhattisgarh Building & other Construction Worker’s Welfare Board has been constituted in September, 2008

  4. Cess Collection (under sec 3 of Building & Other Construction Worker’s Welfare Cess Act, 1996) Chhattisgarh Building & Other Construction Worker’s Board has collected Rs. 31 crores as cess till date.

  5. Registration of Construction Labours (under sec 12 of Building & Other Construction Worker’s Act, 1996) Around 25,000 construction labours have been registered as beneficiaries by the Board.

  6. Schemes 12 welfare schemes are being implemented for the benefit of registered labours- 1. Vishwakarma Mrityu Per Antyeshti Evem Anugraha Rashi Bhugtan Yojna ¼fo’odekZ e`R;q ij vaR;sf"V ,oa vuqxzg jkf’k Hkqxrku ;kstuk½ In the event of death or disability of a labour at work- In the case of accidental death : grant of Rs. 1 lac & Rs. 5,000 for performing the funeral rites In the case of permanent disability : Grant of Rs. 75,000/- In the case of death of a unregistered labours- Rs. 50,000/- • Board has disbursed Rs. 24,80,000/- under this scheme till date.

  9. Nav Nihal Chhatravritti yojna • ¼ukSfugky Nk=o`fRr ;kstuk½ Scholarship of Rs. 500/- to 5,000/- (for class 1st to Post Graduation, technical & other professional courses) for children of registered labours. • Board has disbursed scholarship of Rs. 37,250/- under this scheme.

  10. Bhagini Prasuti Sahayata Yojna • ¼Hkfxuh izlwfr lgk;rk ;kstuk½ For registered women (labour), provision of Rs. 5,000/- as maternity grant during pregnancy. In case of pregnancy of wife of registered man (labour), provison of Rs. 2,000/- as paternity grant. Board has disbursed of Rs. 25,000/- under this scheme.

  11. Rajmata Vijaya Raje Samuhik Vivah Yojna • ¼jktekrk fot;kjkts lkewfgd fookg ;kstuk½ For registered women (labour) or her daughter’s marriage, there is provision of Rs. 5,000/-. For organization of mass (group) marriages, there is provision of Rs. 2000/- per marriage payable to organizer. Board has disbursed Rs. 10,000/- under this scheme.

  12. Mukhyamantri Cycle Sahayata Yojna • ¼eq[;ea=h lk;dy lgk;rk ;kstuk½ The scheme is exclusively for women beneficiaries, aged between 18 to 35. Aims at providing cycles for conveyance for work. Annual target of cycle distribution is 10,000 • Board has distributed 302 cycles, spending Rs.7,58,820/-

  13. Mukhyamantri Silai Mashin Sahayata Yojna • ¼eq[;ea=h flykbZ e’khu lgk;rk ;kstuk½ The scheme is aimed at making women beneficiaries economically viable, who are aged between 35 to 60. Aims at providing sewing machines. Annual target is 10,000 machines. • Board has distributed 600 sewing machines, spending Rs.21,14,643/-

  14. Mukhyamantri Shramik Aujar Sahayata Yojna • ¼eq[;ea=h Jfed vkStkj lgk;rk ;kstuk½ Aims at providing assistance in the form of tools to construction workers. Providing of tools for various trades e.g. carpenters, plumbers, raj-mistris, electrician, painter, etc. Annual target of tools distribution is 10,000 kit. • Board has distributed 720 tool kits, spending Rs.5,76,579/-

  15. Bal Shram Shiksha Protsahan Yojna • ¼ckyJe f’k{kk izksRlkgu ;kstuk½ The scheme is aimed at such freed child labours, who are studying in National Child Labour Schools & whose parents are construction labours. Grant of Rs. 1000/- per child for school uniforms, shoes- socks & school bags, etc. Board has released Rs.1,34,68,000/- (for the year 2010-11) to the District Collectors.

  16. Chalit Jhulaghar Yojna • ¼pfyr >wyk?kj ;kstuk½ Aims at care-taking of children of construction labourer at the site. There are 05 Jhulaghar (creches) proposed in the first stage of the scheme. Raipur : 02 Naya Raipur : 01 Abhanpur : 01 Rajnandgaon : 01

  17. Rashtriya Swashthya Bima Yojna (for APL) • ¼jk"Vªh; LokLF; chek ;kstuk½ Aims at giving benefit of Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojna to registered construction labourer, who are not in BPL category. The expenditure of the said scheme is to be borne by the board. Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Rajnandgaon, Jagdalpur, Narayanpur & Sarguja shall be covered in first stage (6 districts). Smart card of RSYB has been issued to 1701 labourers in Rajnandgaon & Sarguja

  18. Sanjeevani Ambulence Yojna • ¼lathouh ,Ecqysal ;kstuk½ Free ambulance facility is provided under this scheme in 11 districts of the State 15 ambulances have been provided to Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg & Raigarh : 02 ambulance each. Dhamtari, Rajnangaon, Sarguja, Jagdalpur, Korba, Janjgir-champa & Mahasamund : 01 ambulance each.

  19. Rajmistri Prashikshan Yojna • ¼jktfeL=h izf’k{k.k ;kstuk½ Aims at training programme for Skill Development of Construction Labourers as Rajmistris (masons). 1000 Labourers shall be trained every year An MoU has been entered into with the “Chhattisgarh Nirman Academy”.
