  2. Introduction I have chosen the Statue of Liberty as my invention. I chose the Statue of Liberty because it is a great treasure to our country. The Statue of Liberty is a statue that shows the struggle our country went through. America had to fight for this country, and thanks to France we can show our pride. The Statue of Liberty is a sign of the great fight our country has gone through.

  3. The inventor of the Statue of Liberty The inventor of the Statue of Liberty was Fredric Auguste Bartholdi. Fredric Auguste Bartholdi was born in Alsace. He is a famous sculptor. He became famous from the Statue of Liberty. The framework was by Euge-Emmanuel Viollet-le-Duc and Alexandre-Gustave Eiffel.

  4. Where the Statue of Liberty was built The Statue of Liberty was invented in France. It was made during the American Revolution. During this time France became an alliance with America. The person who thought of the Statue of Liberty was historian Edouard Laboulaye. He thought that it would show friendship between France and America.

  5. How the Statue of Liberty got here and where it is at today The Statue of Liberty was first built in France. To get it to America they had to disassemble it. They disassembled it into 350 pieces. It took 214 crates to bring it over. To rebuild the Statue of Liberty it took 4 months. The Statue of Liberty was final done in 10/28/1886. It is on the island of Bedloe’s Island. Bedloe’s Island is near Ellis Island. When Ellis Island opened in 1892 people on the boats would call the Statue of Liberty Lady Liberty.

  6. What the Statue of Liberty looks like The Statue of Liberty is made of cooper sheets. At her feet is a broken chain. The chain stands for the freedom from Britain. In her right hand is torch. The torch stands for enlightening the world. In her left she has a tablet. On the tablet is America’s birthday in Roman Numerals. It says July IV, MDCCLXXVI. (M=1000, D=500, C=100, L= 50, X=10, V=5, and I=1)
